www.rarsoft.com

.rar is a compression format much the same as a .zip file. You want to download winrar to unpack it.

I am not sure which of the two Verizon roms to install. My bootloader screen says 1.00 but I know there are other version of the bootloader out there. What happens if I choose the wrong one? Will it brick my device?

You can just go to SETTINGS --> PHONE --> SERVICE TAB

CORRECTION - no you can't. Where did I see that setting?!?

As usual, i screwed up and synced via wireless sync with my work address book, and now i have 35000 contacts. Is there any way to mass delete them? It would be greatly appricated. Thanks.

CABS from existing ROMS

I know this has been asked before, but bare with me.... my eyes are melting from searching.

IS there an easy way to extract existing CABS from other ROMS I've collected? Or kitchens?

So what's up with the Deepfish and Resco trials? Can I remove them somehow? I have Resco 2005 registered, and I don't have a key to deepfish. Can Remove them to free up space in my ROM?

Removing won't give you extra space, but I am interested in Deepfish too

I cant seem to load the new build. I get to the bootloader screen and nothing happenens after loading both the Bell build and the generic build on my PC with Vista Business.

They only recovery path seem to be upgrading with the version of Bell that I found on the UTstarcom web page (APAC_BM_31230_700_14100_BMCID_Ship).

Once the phone is working again, I try the entire process over and although it does go further, it tell me what version I have and what version I am going too, it basically times out after a few minutes and then the phone seem stuck again in bootloader mode.

Any Ideas or tricks???

Thanks
Chris

I'm using Vista Business. Samething happened to me. I was however able to reload the ROM in Vista. Went to an XP machine installed Activesync and redid it, it loaded without a hitch. If you can get to a XP machine I'm sure it will work from there.
