Well finally a big bummer for me. My device has worked great for 2 days now (Verizon xv6700). The only thing I did is install Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 (love that app!) this morning. It worked for a couple hours after the install, so I don't think that was the problem. The device just locked up on me so I did a soft reset (first time since upgrade). It got past the HTC screen, but never got past the Windows Mobile blue/green splash screen. I reset it multiple times, pulled the battery, etc. What a bummer. I just really finished getting it all setup.
Just did a hard reset and it got past that screen and is just finishing up the Verizon customizations, so I assume I am good to go again, but hours to get everything synced with both PCs, Exchange, customizations, etc. Thoughts? |
umm.. your not supposed to let the verizon customizations run....

I downloaded and installed TCPMP [TCMP comes already installed in WM6 update], then downloaded and installed the FlashVideo plugin for it. Once you do that you're ready to watch video on the Regular youtube site. The problem that I was having was that my phone would freeze while trying to load the site. I searched and found a fix in another thread. If you have Mobile Flash Player 7 on your phone it will try and play that flash animation that is on the site....thats what freezes the phone. The way around it is to temporarily diasble the "Flash.dll" in the registry. A simple way to do it is to create a REG file that disables it, then create one that enables it when you need flash to work. It sounds like alot, but trust me its not. I've attached the TCMP, FlashVideo plugin and the REG files below. I just added the reg files to my start menu so I can easily disable and re-enable flash quickly. Remember that if you disable the flash.dll you have to close and reopen Internet Explorer. FYI. You can have the flash.dll disabled and still play YouTube videos PM me if you need any more help |
Forget TCPMP,
Here's something I installed to my storage card, and it get's YouTube and others to play great: Search it! Watch it! myFav it! Avot mV (Beta) is the mobile solution to watch billions of videos from various video sharing sites. Search : Finding your favorite video on mobile phone is as easier as desktop PC with Avot mV. It seamlessly searches the video clip you want. Watch : Avot mV allows you to watch unlimited number of videos with intuitive user interface. Watch what you want! myFavs : Avot mV helps you organize your favorite videos by creating a myFavs playlist of your favorite videos and watch when you want! $sincere,
You Rock! I had tried that before but it never worked. I think you had a newer flashbundle that I had. Thanks. |

I have a question for those who are really "in the know" about the progress of this ROM/Kitchen.
Are we going to get another ROM build before the Kitchen is released? Since this seems to be Beta v0, it would stand to reason that there might be a few Beta versions, a RC and a final release. Or are we going to intermix the following releases with various Kitchen releases (like the WM5 AKU3.5 Kitchens)? Just wondering. I'm debating reflashing and/or adding some trial software, but I don't want to get that perfect build and then have something released that works better and has the ability to get encrypted WiFi (and stops changing my BT visibility off). Not pressuring or asking for dates (but feel free to guess if you have knowledge). This really is awesome. Even with the glitches. |

CatMan, I never heard of Avot, but I will definitley check that out too. |
Seems pretty cool. Even with a poor signal, the video wasn't choppy.
