Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

Did some more battery drain tests and have found that results are inconclusive. The significance levels that SPSS is showing me regarding 12 different builds of 20931 with and without the newest patches is WAY above the necessary 5%, leaving it outside the range of rejection. Still it seems rather odd that real world experience is reflecting something completely opposite. Grrrr, this is frustrating.

AFAIK, the only difference between those two kitchens is the size of the text options when you hit the soft keys. The only noticeable one anyway, there could be more to it. 20755 is also seems to be smaller so you can fit more OEMs.

Page pool setting is once again working. Use updater or reinstall BuildOS.msi.

MSVC Mapped Button won't activate?

Things look pretty good, however I can't get MSVC to activate when I map the button to the Windows Key?

I can click on voicecmd.exe through file explorer and it works fine.

My setup is fairly basic:

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen - goin' back to 20755

I've tried 20931 for about a week and I see no advantage to keeping it. It is larger than the previous versions so there is less room for options - perhaps because of The new release of IE 6.1.
I didn't even have enough room for Opera so I had to use IE and I don't like it as well as Opera.
Name and Address search was much slower. Battery life seemed to be shorter.

Any comments on my experience with 20931??

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

Couple issues I've found with 20931:
- unable to map MSVC button to Start Menu key
- Comm Manager shortcut at bottom of Home Screen
- drops and then picks up AS connection when in cradle

I haven't noticed a change in battery life from my previous build.

All the builds are a little larger. We used to leave .Net2.0 out, by default, but we have reversed that policy and it is now included, by default. It is included in stock roms, and some poorly written apps just won't run without it. Depending on what rom you built w/ prior, you may also be seeing the effect of updated packages - opera is larger than it used to be.

Name and address search time should be unchanged.
