Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen
Hi, this is my first time building, and I must say it's been a really awesome experience. Thanks for all your hard work! It did take me a while to read all the forum posts about bugs and such, though.
Anyways, I didn't change services.exe, and I did have a little delay (like imnuts had) when I was first using the phone. After switching to cf3.5 from this other site, my phone works with virtually no delays at all. I flashed from a v3.14.30 rom and a v2.05 bootloader, and started my oem selections using "Apache_WM6.1_20748 Selections.txt" One question though: All my data, not just my texts, were deleted, however, which isn't a problem for me since I backed up, but I was wondering if this is normal? Oh, I also have the missing HTC Audio Manager problem as well. Last edited by oasys; 09-30-2008 at 05:12 PM. Reason: v2.05 bootloader, not 2.04; sorry. |

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen
I too am getting the error in the updater, where it just sits for 5 minutes then tells me the files are unavailable.
I did manual d/l of most everything I can find, but cannot seem to get my hands on the Apache_WM6.1_20748 Selections.txt file. Was this ultimately figured out to be traffic issue for the updater? Thanks in advance. |

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen
I had the same experience. She wouldn't sync for love or money. Slow and unstable. Went with another 6.1 build (helmi?) and it seems to work fine. But I liked the choice of programs in the 20748 build. Still, I'm thankful for people's hard efforts.
Also, now buildos won't update for some reason. |

In terms of the services.exe, I do see what you mean now by it taking up 100% cpu. I think it might have to do with the HTC Home 2.1.1005.722 OEM (the other HTC Home plugin won't work for me at all), because if I don't have the OEM installed I don't really see a services.exe issue. *Edit* Yep, after the services.exe patch, everything works beautifully. I guess we'll have to use the old services.exe until they fix HTC Home. Last edited by oasys; 10-01-2008 at 04:35 AM. Reason: Downgraded services.exe |

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen
I just updated to the the kitchen ( updated as of 9-30-08 ) and have a strange issue with my windows button - no matter what I select in the settings->buttons area it will allways bring up the Align Screen app! This is pretty annoying as every time I accidentally hit the thing I have to re-align. Anyone else have this problem?

I never use the HTC Home plugins, so while this may be one conflict, it isn't the only thing that causes the 100% cpu usage. |

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen
I successfully upgraded my PPC6700 (AllTel 2.02), but ActiveSync won't do anything over the internet (sync w/ my exchange 2003 server). I'm certain it's all configured OK, and IE access the internet fine, just Activesync doesn't do anything. Any suggestions?
Much thanks, Ted Cole |

I have vista and had this issue, so I just uninstalled the "Build OS" I had, then downloaded latest BuildOS, installed it and did all updates again . Last edited by Maxx134; 10-01-2008 at 07:35 PM. |
