Are you running WM6 or the stock WM5? I don't understand these people, "Why do you need WM6? WM5 has the most free memory" or "It's nice for someone who leaves it basic but WM5 is for people who like tweaking". FLash to WM6.1 or Wm6 and battery life will increase and it's just and all around better setup. I love WM6.1

I was running Helmi WM6.1 but battery life was horrible and it seemed slow and unstable in general.
Moved to Helmi WM6 and improved a bit.
I just hear people talking about WM5 being better with battery life and not such a resource hog.
Is that just hearsay and incorrect?
Thoughts?
You suggest going back to WM6.1 and maybe trying some more tweaks or settings?
Thanks in advance homie..

Just for kicks, yesterday I installed every program and item I have on my WM6.1 Apache on my WM5 Apache. Both without Verizon Trash. WM5: 10.69 MB Free WM6.1 15.69 MB Free. I overclocked the the WM5 phone and it was slower than the WM6.1 without Overclock. I get poor battery life out of WM5, WM6.1 phone even was getting e-mail pushed and didn't go down before WM5. I did this test for one day, which was yesterday. So just my view on th OS...

If you overclocked WM5, of course you'll get worse battery life. My memory says it was worse without overclocking too, however.

The only reason to use WM5 is if you have a compatibility issue of some kind.

Yep I agree. But I haven't found anything that WM5 can do that WM6.1 can't. As a matter of fact it's the other way around. On WM5 push e-mail won't work without cellular data connection, (It won't work over WiFi). It works great on Wm6 and WM6.1

Re: What's the latest WM5 kitchen?

Yep. Push e-mail is one of the best reasons to jump to WM6 or WM6.1 Kitchen. WIth 6.1 cooked ROM, push e-mail is great over WiFi....keeps me off VZW data and keeps my kb usage down.
