Re: Apache WM6.1 19213 Kitchen

I noticed there have been some problems with the Wifi with some people. I had been using Helmi's and had no wifi problems. When I went to Lenny's I had to do the off/on trick to get it to work and non of the fixes would work either. I went back to Helmi's to see if it was the rom and it worked again. There must be something in Helmi's that fixes that WPA problem that isn't in Lenny's yet. Switching back worked for me at least. Hopefully this will get fixed soon so I can try Lenny's again.

Re: Apache WM6.1 19213 Kitchen

I have been having an issue with Voice Command turning off the sound. Here is what it does, I turn my phone to vibrate with the volume off. Then later, I use voice command to call someone. Voice command will turn the volume up to ask me who I want to call etc. Right after the call, my volume AND my vibrate are both turned off. I would expect it to turn the vibrate back on. In the previous ROM's voice command couldn't or didnt change the volume so I would not here anything if I pressed the voice command button with vibrate on and volume off.

Anyone else see this??

Re: Apache WM6.1 19213 Kitchen

I'm having trouble 'loggin in' to the new BuildOS version -- the server is unavailable and it times out as 'login expired.' I've tried multiple times. I used a new password, as per the installation instructions, and also tried my PCCGeeks password to no avail. FWIW, updater also takes what seems like forever to connect to the server before beginning a download. Maybe the timeout on the BuildOS login needs to be longer?

I tried registering directly with ppckitchen.org, activating that and using BuildOS. No joy. This is frustrating as I don't often have a clean block of time with which to play with my Apache and now that I do, I can't get logged in. Just wondering why this new requirement to connect to the server with an identity...?

Edited to add that I'm using BuildOS v9.05 and I simply cannot get logged in; been trying for an hour. I'm going to roll back to my older BuildOS and download the latest kitchen manually.

Thanks.

Thanks. I had it fixed, then we shrunk the file for updater so it'd be way smaller, and somehow in the process of that, messed it up. So I've uploaded the bigger one, and I'll update later with a new shrinked copy once I get a chance to test fully...

Thanks Lenny! You saved my ppc yet again!

Hmm. Already successfully built and installed a ROM for a friend using this kitchen with Bootloader 2.05.
Just got a new 6700 and wanted to do the same for it. Bootloader 1.04. But it won't build past this line:
Extracting: kitchens\PPCGeeks_OEM.rar
It gives a "File Create Error" message.

I just had this problem. Make sure that you don't have anything included in the ROM that isn't compatible with the device. I had the Titan camera included- when I replaced it with the one for the Apache, it worked fine.
Of course, it could be something completely different...
