Re: Is there a tutorial for installing WM6.1?

Re: Is there a tutorial for installing WM6.1?
And I'm getting "Server Unavailable - Unable to connect to remote server" when trying to run the Kitchen...
I'm behind my company's firewall, and I'm guessing that the NetworkNazis have probably blocked the traffic. Can someone verify that the server is indeed up and running?? Thx, NoazDad |

Re: Is there a tutorial for installing WM6.1?
My bootloader version appears to be 1.00 should I upgrade this 1st before going to WM6. I am a severe noob and have *!@*+ up my phone before and do not want to do it again.
Thank you in advance |
Re: Is there a tutorial for installing WM6.1?
The only downside to v1.00 is Vista will not connect when you are in bootloader mode.
So, if you're using Vista and don't have access to an XP machine, I'd upgrade to 1.02. Otherwise, stay with 1.00. |

Re: Is there a tutorial for installing WM6.1?
Follow the bootloader downgrade/reversion sticky. You'll end up w/ 1.02/2.02 no matter what you started with.
There is also a 1.02 bl_03.nbh file floating around that you can just flash like a regular rom flash when you are upgrading from 1.00. |
Re: Is there a tutorial for installing WM6.1?
I guess this is as good of a place as any to post my question. When I installed BuildOS, it says to run the updater on the first run. I use XP 64 bit, so the updater won't work. Following the instructions, I do a manual update, and download the files(PPCGeeks_OEM, 000_Shareware, Apache_Helmi_WM6.1). Unfortunately, no where(that I can find at least) does it say where to place these files. My best guess was to extract PPCGeeks_OEM and 000_Shareware into USER_OEM(which seems to work alright) and I placed Apache_Helmi_WM6.1 into the Kitchen folder. Everything seems fine when running the program and making my selections, however, when I go to build, after the donations window it gives me the error "ROM folder does not exists. ROM\XIP\". Of which, the only information on the error would suggest that I am using a selection.txt from an older buildOS, which I am not. And as always, much appreciation for any help rendered.
