Yeah, but you hafta log in everytime you use the kitchen. before you could just download the files and save 'em, then u could run it from your laptop (or whatever computer) without internet connection. With the required login, comes required internet access each and every time you want to cook. That was my point, still loving the kitchen though ;-)

You are wrong.

Just wondering, but being a noob in PPC's, once you put the phone in bootloader mode to check the version number can you just soft reset the phone to bring it back into operation? Great phone so far and am looking forward to tweaking.

Thanks for the quick reply, seems that I have bootloader 2.05. I'll have to work up the nerve to flash to a different version or only be able to cook a mini-rom. Again thanks for the help.

Okay, next noob question. I see in the sticky that you do not have to make any extra selections when putting together your custom ROM, you can use Helmi's pick or the Vogue I suppose. Would just not selecting anything give you a phone with the same types of program given say on a new phone with 6.1? Again, thanks for all the help.

wow cant say i've ever cooked up a rom without picking ANYTHING from the kitchen, i suppose it would produce a bare bone ROM with nothing but the basics. Of course if you dont like the result you can always cook up another one and so on......

Best thing to do is just pick stuff you want/like and put one together (esp if it's your first one) and flash it and try it out for a day or two. Then if you not satisfied and want to add more, or different programs, then cook again. Repeat this process as often as you like, and however many times you think you need to get the perfect ROM. Some users flash new ROMs daily, others flash hourly, and some of us only flash maybe once or twice a month. Just depends, YMMV (if you see this Nickles - Meow !!!)

Yes. We generally try to make the default close to what a "stock" phone would have (minus crap-ware).
