Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

One other question. Is there a way of overriding Windows Media Player; I have the CORE player and Pocket Player, which play formats that WMP does not, but WMP opens when I use certain programs, and then can't play the format (mms:// and http://dynamic....), so I'm assuming it's designated as the default somewhere. Once again, I appreciate any help.

I get this too... Turns out if you select the HTC Home plugin first, then select the HTC Home Customizer, the kitchen extracts HTC Home twice, causing the overwrite error... Same thing can happen with TCPMP and the flashplayer pack for TCPMP... Just uncheck the HTC Home plugin... the Customizer forces it to install without you checking it...

Login Issues - Firewall

GGuruUSA,

Just a suggestion, if it's viable for your environment.
Any way to change the ports to port 80, or something commonly open in business firewalls?
If you need unique ports other than port 80, here are suggestions:
1494 (normally Citrix),
110 (POP3),
3389 (terminal services),
691 (Exchange routing),
92 (network printing),
2179 (RDP),
3389 (terminal services)

Just a thought.

That's not by design :-(

I'll look into it.

No, but I'm working on converting to html access. It'll be a bit before it's ready.

Spash / Boot Screens

Questions:
Anyone else havins issues with the provided boot/splash screens only taking up maybe 80-90% of the screen, and leaving black space? (I even tried one of my own that I made sure was 240x320 pixels - what I typically use as my screens).

Also, am I able to use the provided animations as boot screens?

There's an error there somewhere...We'll look into it.

third time now i'm downloading 6.1. I keep comming up with the 6.1 file being too small, so now i'm downloading just the 6.1 rar from the ppckitchen.org/downloads site in the hope that this time it will be right. funny thing is its going to take just as long to download this one rar as it did to download the whole thing! pain in the *** when on dial up!!

Internal Error - Option.xml GUID not found (Cambridge Bluetooth Add-on - *then lots of numbers here* )

It does this for pretty much all things that I can add to my rom. I tried building one anyways and sure enough those things are not in my rom.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks you guys are awesome.

Sounds like your PPCGeeks_OEM.rar has a problem. Try downloading it again.
