OK, I've posted this a few times but never had any conclusive answer.

I seem to have an excessive power drain and believe it to be the data connection. Previously to WM6.1, the data connection icon would have an Active State and an Inactive State. My always shows what I have come to know with WM5 and WM6 as Active.

I have seen references to this being caused by Exchange Push Mail, but I do not use an Exchange server. My mail is checked (IMAP) once an hour and my weather program uses the connection once per hour.

Please, anyone have any insite? I'm getting only about 60% of the battery life to did with the 6.0 ROM?

Anyone else seeing problems using the Updater? Last night it said 'project not found' and today 'shareware 00' something or other couldnt be installed and latest is 'titan kitchen can not be copied'?

update: looks like its working now.

Did your Updater ever work? If not, could be a firewall... If it did work at one time, you might have a corrupted download... It might be better for you to uninstall and delete the Kitchen directory completey, then start over the update process...

ok guys i want to say I love this WM6.1 kitchen thing but Im having some problems that make it basically unusable, even after installing pockethackmaster and overclocking the CPU.

My problem is the input lag in messaging! Like, either sending an email or a text using my keypad it seems to get input lag, and it will miss certain inputs... especially on the letter I .. like I will type 'in' and it will miss the n and put a capital I, id hate to have to disable autocorrect is there any way to get rid of the input lag or increase CPU priority for messaging .. I suspect it's a lack of memory issue but its so damn bad I am thinking of putting WM5 back on the phone, i jjust cant stand punching in a whole sentence into the thing and seeing it come out as unreadable crap... any help on this is appreciated. also i usually have around 5-9mb of free memory when this happens, i dont understand .. that should be enough to not cause this input lag...

example: I punch the word 'definately' into a text messaging and it comes out as 'deinaley'

Change to a different keyboard SIP, or increase the number of characters before dictionary lookup occurs.

Also even once the hack is in place it is not always apparent that it works. What I mean is that sometimes you have to tap the bluetooth Quicklink to connect to the S9 and then shortly after it connects turn off your S9 then wait a few seconds and turn the S9 back on and let it connect automatically and it will work 100% without skipping!

Good luck.

thanks for the info. Is there a particular registry hack that I should try first?

thanks a bunch!!! That fixed it. I had actually given up on my home computer and went to the office late and used it. Have cooked up a ROM and I'm loving the new phone. Still having some problems getting my bluetooth stereo headset to play without skipping. Not sure if I should reduce the size of the ROM (memory issues) or if it is something else. Any ideas? Thanks again. A donation is on its way as soon as I get paid!!!
