Not recognizing mini-SD card

Hi all,

I have Rob's Clean, No-Junk ROM on my XV6700. I recently re-flashed to the updated ROM.

After re-flashing and copying some mp3's to the mini-SD, my phone no longer recognizes the mini-SD. I tried several soft resets and cleaning out the mini-SD slot and card, but to no avail.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can correct it? I'd rather not re-flash, as I just went through day-long ordeal of reinstalling my other apps.

Thank you!

Are you still running my ROM? If so, what version... the latest B7? This has never really been an issue with me, however I'm aware that everyone's phone is different. What brand mini-SD are you using? I know you said that you didn't want to re-flash, but if you absolutely cannot get it to work I might recommend that you try the kitchen. If you memory card happens to be the culprit though, even the kitchen won't fix it.

Hi Rob,

Yep, I'm using the B7 version of your ROM. Also, I don't mean to target your ROM, I just needed to make a framework for my phone.

I'm using a Kingston 1GB mini-SD card. Also, can you tell me how I'd use the Kitchen to fix it?

Thanks!

BTW, I ended up doing a hard reset and I still can't see the mini-SD card. I also used the adapter to plug it into my laptop, but to no avail. I guess it's dead.

Does anyone know why this may have happened? Did the card burn out from too much use?

Thanks!

Does your PC recognize the card when you plug it into you computer using a card reader? If you use active sync exploe your PPC and see if you can see the storage card. You can hook up your USB and explore through My Computer. Let us know if your PC finds the card. If you can try another card in your phone to see if it recognizes it. You may also try reformatting your card. I have made a tutorial if you want to try the kitchen. It is located in the Apache-Upgrades section of this forum.

Hi Medic. Neither the PC nor the PPC recognize the card. I tried using ActiveSync's explorer function, but that didn't find it either. Can you direct me to the reformatting thread? I tried searching the forum but couldn't find it.

Thank you!
