i believe this problem is directly related to the camera as it wont recognize any card over 2gb...is this the same camera as the one used in the mogul or touch ? htc camera 3.0(build 22844) as per kitchen...

I have a 2g card so I can't try to reproduce your issue, but I wanted to ask if maybe you have your ext rom unhidden. I know with mail attachments it trys to put them in ext rom instead of card and fills up rapidly leaving no space. Open your message application. Go to options. Click on the storage tab and see what size your card is by clicking to save attachments to storage card when available. That is a quick way to see if the rom is picking ext rom as your storage card. If that is the issue just hide your ext rom and the prob will be corrected. Not sure if this is the problem or solution but worth a look.

That problem is with the inbox software itself. All partitions and cards are considered storage cards by the OS and the inbox software just finds the extended rom first alphabetically. The camera actually seems to be coded to look for "\Storage Card" rather than just the first card found so it shouldn't be a problem.
