I'm still having issues with duplicate notifications being created for scheduled appointments.
I run a QuickClean using MemMaid after every soft reset and yes, I do have it checking for all of the types of notifications. Does no one else have this happening? (I posted something about it a few days ago and saw no responses.):disgust: |
Trident, I haven't noticed any dupes personally. I'll keep watching for it, just in case.

At the correct requested time, the popup on the bottom shows that there are two notifications/reminders. I can either dismiss or snooze. No matter which one I choose, the second (identical) reminder then appears and gives me the same choice. [I should try to snooze on one and dismiss the other and see what happens.] |
I'm getting dups, too. Having seen triplicates, but dups yes. Just most of the time ... not all the time.
By any chance are you using SPB Diary? Quote:

I get dupes when I restore from a backup and then sync later on

I am getting dupes just as you describe and have to clean out with memaid everyday. I have tried turning off reminder notifications (settings->sounds & notifications->notifications tab->Event:reminders) but no luck there. Since this doesn't seem to be widespread, I'm not ready to say this is a kitchen issue, but probably installed software. Are you using Phonealarm by any chance? How about active sync with exchange server? |
I thought I would post my MMS problems here to see if anyone has experience the same thing.
I am a VZW user. I have the MMS installed that was included w/ the latest kitchen. I rarely use MMS but the other day i tried to send one with the default kitchen settings (carrier=verizon in buildOS), and it didn't go through. I checked the arcsoft reg setting and found this: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader] "X-Alltel-MDN"="703*******" "Profile"="http://www.htcmms.com.tw/gen/Titan-1.0.xml" "hmac-md5-key"="ph1uzoe52iuw" "User-Agent"="utstar67kv1" "Accept"="*/*" "Accept-Language"="en" "Accept-Charset"="us-ascii;utf-8;iso-10646-ucs-2" The first two lines concern me. What is the Profile key (2nd line above) and why does it reference the Titan when the chosen device in buildOS is the Apache (greyed out). As for the first line. I went back and checked my selections.txt and I definitely chose verizon as my carrier in buildOS, so where did the "X-Alltel-MDN" key come from? I did try and change the key to "X-vzw-MDN", reset, and resend... but it still didn't go through. My UNALTERED server settings since flashing are (Pics/Vid Configuration): Server name: Verizon Wireless Gateway: {blank} Port Number: 80 Server Address: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms Connect Via: Data Network Connect (also tried Verizon Wireless, but no go) Sending Size limitation: 878k WAP: WAP 2.0 Can anybody see what my problem is and is this a kitchen issue or did my configuration just get screwed up somehow? Thanks |

Maybe not widespread, but I myself make four so far and no not using PhoneAlarm. As per Kreigz's question yes I am using SPB Diary. Other, this is a fresh ROM not a reinstall of a backup. I think Memmaid keeps recreating the notification queue after we delete it, will see if their is a way to stop Memmaid recreating the notification queue. Also, uncheck an alarm, but still keep getting the notification until I delete it in Memmaid. |
