Yep, two more notes for the first post
1) screen align won't work with flow running - you'll need to remove the flow links from startup, soft reset, align, return, or some other mojo - I'll see if I can come up with some clean procedure for this, but if you suffer from frequent realigns this isn't going to work well for you 2) until you get the hang of it, try using your stylus to get the cube up, or to scroll in apps - it is a lot easier to get it to work with the stylus - the thing about FTouchFlo is you HAVE TO MOVE right away when you start a "swipe" - any pause at the beginning and the FTouchFlo app will decide you want to let the normal WM tap action happen. So you need to practice that smooth "Pen/finger down and move" maneuver... once you get it, you'll have it. You can tweak the numbers in the setting file, but I'd see if you can figure out how to do it as is, first. |
Does anyone think this could be what is locking up my touch screen? I did install with my new ROM just befoe it locked in the "TAP" alignment screen with no reaction when I tap. If you think it might, how can I get past this screen to remove it? Thanks for the help.

Ah... it's built into the rom? Going to be hard to get past that initial align screen then.
If a soft reset gets you booted up without the align screen, using a process/task manager (not the simple one built in, but one that shows actual running processes) you can Kill FTouchFlo. Then, using just the dpad (since you're not going to have any touchscreen capability) get to the Align screen - I think pressing the dpad center and the right or left - key will bring it up... then align (hopefully) and then, if it works, you should power off, power on, wait... soft reset, and (hopefully) it will be aligned. |
I knew you guys were geniuses! I will try it tomorrow as the phone is at work on my desk. Thanks so much for the reply. I will let you know what happens. Mark

One other question, why, if I reflash the ROM back to the stock one, can't I get rid of the problem? Just don't understand how that can stay after a new flash. Does the touchflo reside somewhere that is not overwriten? Just find this very interesting. Thanks

Anyway, simple test - assuming you can connect via activesync, connect (even as guest is fine) and from the PC explore the ppc, go to \Windows\Startup If there is anything in there like flo.lnk, or ftouchflo.lnk, move that to the \ directory on the PPC Undock, and soft reset. FTouchFlo will not be running for sure, and assuming your touchscreen works, you can align the screen I'm working on a little mortscript script that will kill ftouchflo and then start align, and when align finishes, restart ftouchflo. |

Total Noob as you will realise. Just got my 6700 yesterday and the guy gave me the kitchen and directions to build a "standard rom" - i.e gave me a inclusions file. So this ROM already has TouchFlo and in my startup when I hit the "Start TouchFlo" , it says its already running. I cant seem to even get a cube (tried using stylus and finger - bottom to top swipe - no worky). Tried to explore the PPC, but I dont even see the \Windows folder. I do remember having to align on the boot after the ROM upgrade.
What should I do to get the Cube? Thanks. |
