Re: HTC Performance (overclocking) OEM

You know, I never noticed a difference in overclocking with the box checked and the higher speed set, until I went into the registry and found a setting for allowing overclocking. I changed the value from 0 to 1 and it started running much faster than normal. I wonder if the program doesn't change the registry setting to allow the actual overclocking to occur.

HLKM\Software\HTC\HTC_Misc.

Two Values: (1) Enable monitoring = 0x0000001(1) is set as 1 (as opposed to 0) when the HTC performance app selected to "enable dynamic frequency changing)

and (2) EnableOverclocking = 0x0000000(0) when the 520 MHz speed is selected, it is set to (1) when 624 MHz is selected.

Talking Re: HTC Performance (overclocking) OEM

Hello Everybody...

My first post..and it's all with great news.

Coming from having owned 2 Q's & a Q9c, now the Mogul...well I couldn't be happier. The mogul knocks the socks of the Q, hands down, in my opinion.

I got the Q9c and it lasted less then a week and froze at the Mobile screen at boot up. Exchanging the Q was a bit of hassle due to Sprint's great customer service I must have spoken to 6 reps before getting the right answer regarding the procedure to return a phone which is still under 30 daze guareenteee...

Mogul internet is blazing compared to Moto Q....after the hacks it's amazin!!!! I'm so happy with this phone.

As for this app well I just did the reg edit above and am testing as we speak. I want to test internet speed too. Will post once done.

Thanks all for the interest and information. You all rock!!!!

Thumbs up Re: HTC Performance (overclocking) OEM

I also wanted to contest that the 'slower' CPu setting kicks in faster when it comes to load and moving around the OS.

Re: HTC Performance (overclocking) OEM

Just so everyone knows, I think the newest version of Pocket Hack Master (v4.33) will work on the 6800. Ive been using the 6700 at 624 for a long time and never had any issues with it.
