I always had bad experiences with overclocking the 6700 with the previous apps for WM5. Always seemed to require soft resets ever day or 2 as I recall? Hope this runs better :)

Is this specific to the 6700 or would it work on the 6800 as well?

saqer 11-12-2007 08:32 PM

k..so I just overclocked to 624...and I do notice an increase I speed and responsiveness, but also a quick battery test indicates that I may not be using much more battery than normal. if that's the case then htc performance is really the best way to overclock our processors. anyone else notice this?

Not to be (too) flippant, but I think that was schettj's point in the first post of this thread.

what rom is this overcloking in?

schettj 11-12-2007 09:31 PM

it's in the WM6 Apache/6700 kitchen, in the set of OEMs in PPCGeeks_OEM.rar - in the kitchen I think its in a group named "performance"?

Oh, and even in the app itself it suggests you don't go for the 624mhz overclock. I am inclined to agree, - the 520mhz setting is already 25% faster then the stock clock speed of 416 MHz. You don't want your phone to catch fire ;)

This app is great! Since building this ROM from the kitchen I've had about ~5MB ram, but this little overclock has nullified those effects and then some! This is great!

can anyone comment on the sound. I had used overclocking before in the older ROMs and it made this weird noise with screen taps...thanks

works for me

Running at 624, no problems so far...
