Re: New BuildOS - Report Bugs Here

I am having problems with my boot splash image. I've flashed my phone twice, one with a png and another with a bmp.

I only get a white background during bootup with some colored dots on the top of the background image. I don't see Helmi's splash or the one I selected...

I've searched but haven't found anything about this.

Anyone had the same problems?

You must be using a 2.04/2.05 bootloader. Your rom is too full. remove some stuff.

When I go in bootloader mode, it reads 1.00, I thought that was the bootloader version :S

I'll try to remove some stuff from the ROM. Thanks gguruusa!

Hmm...that is the bootloader version. You symptom (colored dot's on splash screen at top) is a typical symptom of overfilling a rom. That shouldn't be possible w/ v1.00 bootloader selected in kitchen. If you manage to reproduce this, please post your selections.txt

Re: New BuildOS - Report Bugs Here

I'm not sure how to search posts, so I am going to ask if someone can help me with this. I have a PPC-6700 originally an ALLTEL phone. Version 1.00. I have been sucessfully built and loaded ROMs but to flash it to Cricket and when I dial *228 it sends me to the Verizon Network. What do I need to do to get this phone in Cricket network?

Can someone explain the different bootloader pros and cons?

Guru, that brings a question, then. My understanding (please tell me) is that the bootloader versions on the Apache are similar to partitions on a hard disk, and that HTC in their later phones (bootloader 2+) reduced the size of the ROM patition to make room for more user programs and files.

So it is not possible to overfill a 1.00 bootloader phone ROM partition??? (at least up to the maximum flash mem installed)? What are the numbers for 1.00, 1.02, 2+, etc and are there other differences besides the size of the ROM partition?

I would like to look at my partition(s). Is there software (PPC partition magic, qparted, etc) which does this non-destructively? I am aware of mTTY, butI have not had any reason to use it, can it look at the partition structure w/o making changes?

Or is my partition analogy bunk?

Thanks again!!

Re: New BuildOS - Report Bugs Here

Are there any plans to make it so OEMs specify what phones they will work on? So when you select device type (Apache or Titat atm) it hides the ones that won't work.

Re: New BuildOS - Report Bugs Here

Hi! I love the new Kitchen! Thank you so much!!

I am having some trouble though. After successfully building the image and flashing it I am finding that the Java program comes up in error and WMP has trouble playing web videos using the asx extension I belive.

I consistently get the warning message in the Building Exclusion list:

Making ROM

ImgFs size: 0x3900000 bytes (0x1c800 sectors)
Not conservative mode. Changing imgfsEnd from 0x3f00000 to 0x3f40000
