Re: New BuildOS - Report Bugs Here

Solved my problem, it was the: HTC Camera Album & HTC Vogue Camera modules that were giving me the error.

Try building with out those two modules.

Camera Album should be fine. It was only the Vogue Camera that broke my Apache builds.

Great job on the new buildOS. I love the treeview in the updater. I just thought of a feature request...
On the OEM's that are not supported by each particular device... Might it be possible to hide them completely in addition to making them un-selectable.

i.e. the "Startup Animation (NOT for Apache)".. I cannot select that because I am using an Apache. It would be really sweet if options like that were not even viewable when I choose an apache based selections file. Likewise for the other devices as well.

Just something for you developers to think about. I didn't even search to see if it had even been suggested before.

It's not presently possible, but it is on the wish list.

Hi GGuru. We talked briefly on the chat today. I was earlier trying to cook a ROM from the Kitchen. Right now I'm at work and chat doesn't work here. But the thing is, I replaced the updater file as you pointed to me (I didn't understand bcs I wasn't checking this thread but a different one), so updater started working, but everytime I tried updating, the file shareware.? (forgot extension) failed to download, so the process stops.

Any ideas?

? buildos doesn't create ppcgeeks_oem.rar. Give the exact error message, and what you were doing when you got it.

You can downoad it manually...http://ppckitchen.org/downloads. I don't know why it sometimes has trouble with larger files. Working on a solution to that.

Thanks GGuru, I was able to DL manually, now I can get into the project, but when I'm done choosing OEM's, no matter how many or few I choose, when it's extracting the .rar it always give me a message, so it never completes the build.

In the meantime I[m usnig Rob Meyer's wm6.0, it works great, but i'd prefer tou cook my own.

Any thoughts?

Thanks again.

What message? If it's the out of memory one, include less - almost nothing. Also, which kitchen?
