That's because you have your extrom unhidden. There is no way around that problem other than hiding the extrom partition.

If you are handy with a registry editor you can make these changes:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\ TRUEFFS_DOC1]
"MountHidden"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\AutoLoad\ TRUEFFS_DOC1]
"Bootphase"=dword:00000001

Otherwise you need to build another ROM and this time do not put a checkmark in the "Unlock ExtROM" checbox in the "Carrier Customize" section of BuildOS.

It's a file called welcomehead.96.png that resides in your \Windows folder. If you want to replace it use a new 320x320 png file, give it the same name, and put it in the Patches folder of the kitchen. If you don't have a Patches folder then download the latest kitchen from helmi's sticky post.

please post your selections_config.txt that resulted in this, as well as your bootloader version (hard to read, but it 's on your PPC screen while it's being flashed), and your PCs OS (2000, XP, Vista, x64 XP, x64 Vista).

Users have had success in avoiding this problem by including less in their ROM.

Use even less than that. Seriously that means unchecking almost everything to test this--use the default selections that come up when you first launch BuildOS (unless you changed them). The white screen is caused by a ROM that is too full.

And what gguru means is that after you check all the boxes and before you click the play button, go to the file menu and choose "Save as...". Give the file a name and then post it here in the forums.

Wait... I'm confused. Less features in latest release?!

I am currently running 071105_2.
Just downloaded and went to build an OS with 071107_1.
It seams there are MUCH less features, apps, etc... in the newer version.
I know I'm missing something stupid.... what gives?

EDIT: it was something stupid. I forgot the PPCGeeks_OEM.
DUH!
