After laoding everything is back to normal. Probably an easier way to fix, but that was the easy way for me.

Very happy with this version.

what cab file are you talking about....i keep having the same problem with this kitchen and the previous.

Then you are missing several steps.

The first thing you need to do is read the walkthrough file in the "Help & Support Files" folder. You're better off doing that than asking someone here to go through it for you. It has step-by-step instructions for cooking and flashing your ROM with this kitchen. When you've done that, come back with your questions.

Methinks you are thinking this is simply a ROM upgrade and not a kitchen...

i think you are right. the walk through is not readable.

when i open the file to install it an error comes up
error 103: rom image file not found
device software update uitility cannot locate the rom image file to update your device. please download the correct device software update utility and try again.

please help

u probably saved the nbk file in the wrong folder. it has to be in the same folder as the ruu program.. just copy and paste ur encoded file to the rom updrage utility.. make sure u know which one u need to use.. then run that utility and u wont have that problem...coz by default the encode program keeps changing the to and from position of files..

What do you mean by "not readable"? It opens just fine in my copy of the kitchen. Are you not able to read PDF files?

Ok, I now have an emergency! something went horribly wrong in activesync and DELETED all my contacts in outlook! I did not have a backup file(shame on me!) and want to recover if possible the lost info. Any help out there? I'm searching the net to see if there's a way to recover anything.

You need Adobe Reader to read PDF files. You can download the free version at adobe.com.

No offense, but I'm beginning to think that cooking a ROM might be a bit of a stretch for you. I would suggest you install a pre-packaged ROM instead, if you are looking to go to WM6. You might try the "No junk" version that is posted on here.

ecolon42 11-05-2007 01:54 AM

Hefman

THANKS.

ecolon42 11-05-2007 01:59 AM

Can you direct me to a wm6 prepackaged rom. "no junk version" that is exactly what i am looking for.
