I cant see the dialer in verizonguy_helmi_cs kitchen version .6c

Ok, I have searched, but cannot find it, I am running helmi_cs kitchen version .6c

I have lost the dial pad completely, when I use his prebuilt rom, it works, but when I use the kitchen, hit the phone button, I get nothing, touch the screen and I'm dialing numbers with no dialpad. I finally had to use someones trick to revert to stock dialer:

drdrewusaf
You don't need a CAB or files to get the old dialer back. It's a simple reg hack:
Under [HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin] change "Enabled=1" to "Enabled=0"
Soft reset, and the original WM6 dialer will be there.
Drew

I want the dialer that was on the prebuilt rom just minus the extras. Any one know how to get it working again?

try flashing again and hard reset. sounds like you're having some weird left-over issue. haven't been any similar reports.

Ok, so is there something in the kitchen that i need to include in order for the skin to work? i did two hard resets. finally searched google for wm6 dialer skin and I found the skin, installed it, and it worked. Its working now and thats what matters. let me know if there is something vital I messed up.

I have the same issue. Hard reset after flashing and still no dialpad. This has happened with the last few WM6 kitchens and the only way I have found to fix it is installing a dialer (Mogul big button). Any ideas?

The only thing I can say is that when I built my rom this morning the first time, I didn't include a dialer skin. I had the white on white that you're describing, but it was fixed when I rebuilt the rom with a dialer skin.

Though that is a weird problem if you're using a pre-built rom from somebody.

I can confirm the same issue. If I don't select a dialer, I get the same blank white screen.
The registry hack works, or selecting a dialer.

The default should just be made a checkbox and include the correct dialer registry in the next revision. This kitchen is fustrating and not very user friendly

Let's be clear about what kitchen you're referring to--the one verizonguy made, not the one helmi released yesterday. If you choose to build with helmi's you will not have this issue.
