WM6 and laptop tethering on Sprint

Right now I'm using my original ROM and I tether my laptop on Sprint for free since they can't tell I'm tethering. Does the WM6 upgrade still allow for that or will it inform Sprint I'm tethering? Thanks.

Tethering using the Internet Sharing application works just fine. Make sure you have Bluetooth disabled before connecting using IS.

The problem is that I use bluetooth to tether. I just use my 6700 as a bluetooth modem. I know I can USB tether but that doesn't really work for me since I just keep my phone in my backpack.

You can also use your WM6 6700 as a WIFI Access Point. I haven't gotten it to work, but I've read about a lot of people doing it. Do a search for it.

Found it. Thanks. That's just so unfricking believable. A cell phone as a broadband WiFi router.

do you really mean wifi router? I think I have had a bluetooth pan that might have been able to connect multiple pcs if I had more than one with bluetooth, although now that I think of it I might have read only one bluetooth device at a time. details on the wifi connection sharing would be sweet
thanks

Yep. The stuff I found on another website details how to set the 6700 up as a WiFi router. It was kind of simple actually. I think it was on pdaphonehome.
