I changed mine to 8192 and it seems OK, but don't know how much difference it made as I did it fairly quick after flashing to WM4 v4. I do have some issues though (see my previous post), so I'm not sure if this caused any of them...

I'm doing a WM5/6 power usage study with two 6700's. WM6 does seem to consume more power, probably because there's more processor usage. I havent set up an ammeter to exactly measure the current draw but I'm seeing a definite difference in the first day. I'd guess it's between 10/15% more battery drain with WM6 just idling. Before ya post, I am doing this with a battery swap between devices with a known good, fully charged by the cradle battery to eliminate the device, each using the same power source for an average day. WM6 is a hungry little beast, by all early reports. It makes perfect sense in all of the Mogul battery drain posts all over here, there and everywhere.

On the software side I am comparing a 3.5 Helmi kitchen build versus Helmi/Verizonguy's latest kitchen.

Or, plan on charging your phone more with WM6.

Make sure you have bluetooth disabled before starting the Internet Sharing app.

I installed Twinky's Apache WM6 Palm Threaded SMS, BlueFrog Big Button Dialer and LVM Second Clock(BigJ).

So far everything works great! The AlarmClock from BigJ didn't install the shortcut in the right place, but after moving it, it works great! I turned the "IR Beam" off first thing. My battery is doing pretty well. I don't talk on the phone a lot, I have A/S set to check immediately and Weatherpanel updates every 30 minutes. I also have the "big" battery from Seidio and I still have between 70%-80% left when I go to bed.

On another note, I would like to see two new folders on the FTP. One for WM5 OEM's and one for WM6 OEM's. How difficult would it be to update them when a new update is available? I guess for testing purposes it would be better to leave each update separate. I would love to help with this, but haven't been brave enough to try making my own OEM's yet. Just wanted to throw that out.

We will keep praying for you Verizonguy. I can't imagine what that's like.

Ok, this maybe stupid but can I download what you have put together? Or do I need to do a search for each program and try and "cook" one tha tI might burn, lol

i installed kitchen 0.4. and i got an issue. i am using a different language, and for the version, i installed the language pack as what i have done before with Helmi_C's rom or Vguy Dev1. but when i sent a SMS to others. i got the response that the messenge couldn't be displayed. then i sent one to my self. and the messenge i got was nothing but a blank screen.
and i wonder anyone here had got the same problem?

yes, that's normal to have to encode.....I just looked at the latest WM5 kitchen v1.0.4, it has cricket available, you can try to copy it over to this WM6 kitchen. I have zipped it up & attached, extract to the OEM folder.

***edit*** I just looked in the WM6 folder, and Cricket is already in there. When you are building the ROM you have select Cricket in the Carrier Customize section. Then it will show up when you encode.
