I'm using the latest build of VG's WM6 Kitchen, all seems to be working fine except when a friend on Cingular sends me SMS messages all I receive from her is "The contents of this message cannot be displayed."

Anyone know what the issue is?

ughh - I could get rom's I built with kitchen 0.1 to load/run via bootloader 2.05, but now I can't repeat that success with the latest kitchen. So it's time for me to drop back to BL 2.02... ugh.

Negative, using Outlook.

The threader did this same thing to my WM5 install but Outlook has always worked fine until I loaded 6.

Luckily I found a quick solution, if I plug in the usb cable to my PC and reset again it boots fine.

Very strange...Any thoughts?
I just rebooted again at home and it came up fine (but a little slower than a fresh hard reset). Once booted it does seem quicker than hemli's latest wm5 kitchen. So far I'm loving it! Thanks everyone!!!

for the most part im having good success building roms, I just have one minor suggestion. Would it be possible to include the standard wm6 dialer in the kitchen, even as an optional OEM?

The "touch" dialer is the only thing that im having an issue with. It LAGGGGSS when i dial, looks nasty when im on a call, and incoming calls are a bitch to see the picture ID.

anyways just my 2c. its a nice kitchen overall, and thank you very much for making a useable product for us!

Thanks again, I hope your vision issue is temporary ; ;

Try changing this reg entry
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Cellular\SMS\Protocols\Tex t]
DLL="SMS_Providers.dll"
to
DLL="HTC_SMS_Providers.dll"

I think its something about cellsouth, because this is completely the opposite of the fix that solved alot of the problems with the threader on wm5, but I have had the exact same problem many times and changing that value back to HTC_SMS_Providers.dll has almost always solved the problem.
Let me know if that works?
