probably attenuation setting

There is no "wm6 sound theme." You're using the official wm6 sounds, with some additional oem ones from a couple of carriers.

I've tried saving ringtones and using the application to soft reset and it still doesn't change the ringtones. I did play with it and found out it will let you choose the following:
Ring-Standard
Ring-Vision
Ring-WindowsMobile

No others will stick. When you chose the others, and click OK, then go back into options, it is set to ring-standard or one of the other ones. I've changed the other files to not be "read-only" and it still doesn't work. MP3 files put into the Windows\Rings folder to work and stick. Any ideas? Other than that, this is the best I've ever ran on this phone.

Thanks Nick. That and removing all my additions to the kitchen worked. success at 2am. Good times. Do you feel my enthusiasm? but i do like this version of the rom so far. The only thing i've noticed is that it does hang on soft reset.

Holy crap! I pretty much check out of any interest in updates for PPC-6700 (Embarq a.k.a Sprint Lite), late last year as I was just super sick of the whole fiasco I had with Embarq just buying the thing (](*,) long story and not important :protest: ).

I checked this morning to see if Embarq had release any new ROMs to deal with the daylight savings time change. Nope, nada, zero, zip; now that's great customer support . Sprints 'offical' ROMs would not work as I would get the dreaded country code error.

Anyhow, I did some googeling, came across PPCGeeks and started reading up about the various choices one has (choice is good). Download WM6 AKU 0.7 Kitchen and dove in head first.

Now, I thought maybe that the Sprint Ext. Rom/setting would be the correct choice during my first attempt at a ROM build/install but to be safe I did a generic build and had to use the 'No UUID' (not sure I am remembering the correct terminology) to skirt the country code error. This worked great but I had no data connection. I then tried the Sprint selection in the Kitchen and it now have data connection and an awesome 'new' phone :headbang: .

I can't say thanks enough for everyones effort!!

First off, props to Verizonguy, Helmi, and anyone else that had a hand in making this kitchen. This WM6 ROM is outta sight.

Verizonguy, question for you. What do you have planned for the next revision? Is there a few specific issues you are working on or are you tidying things up for RC1? When do you expect the next update? Don't get me wrong, I love suprises, but its nice to peek at the presents every once in awhile as well ;)

I also have a few questions for anyone that can help...

- Does anyone know of a good scrolling contacts program (like the iphone) that looks great and works well with this HTC Home theme from 0.6c kitchen?

- Regarding the weather portion of the HTC Home theme, is there a way (or reg edit hack) to have it update the status of the weather every hour or so, instead of hitting 'update' manually? And if this is possible, is there a way to have the phone disconnect from the 'data connection' mode after this is done?

- Last question (for now). Before adding this ROM to my phone I had the iphone theme on it, complete with the slider program. I didn't care much for the iphone software, but did enjoy the slider function. Does anyone have a nice looking slider program (lock feature) that compliments this HTC Home theme? If not, is there a way to make the phone 'lock' by default once it goes into standby? The iphone slider lock function made me lazy and I never pocket-called anyone when I had it on my phone either.

Thanks in advance for your help.

im learning about cooking your own rom and i find that after the ROM is flashed ...your Windows folder has A LOT of junk ..
image files, link files ect. that have been moved to other folders by “initflashfiles.txt” ...is there a way to auto clean them up after the install is done?

all the documents i have read instructs you on how you can create a directory and copy the files to another folder BUT the original file is left in Windows folder taking up space

First i usually remove all the oems out of the kitchen and only leave the one's i use.
After i make a rom i go through the initflashfiles.txt and clean it up.

so you basically have to manually clean them out? i thought there might be a way to auto delete or even MOVE a file instead of copy using the initflashfiles.txt ...thanks KidGixxer for the help
