The Helmi file explorer "trick" on his WM6

This "Missing" file explorer from the Helmi WM6 Rom I and several had posted about in the thread led to a little experiment.

That Helmi "trick" with cecmd.exe works with WM5!. I went to the WM6 kitchen and copied the cecmd.exe(icon kinda looks like a lemon seed) from the OEM_Helmi addition to my WM5's \Windows folder. On the PPC I did the same edit to the \Windows\Start Menu file, in this case editing to 21#"\Windows\cecmd.exe" MSFEXPLORE. It worked instantly. Didn't have to soft reset. I just went to the start menu and it was there, ready to go. The icon is the total command icon, but it works. Just like the Helmi WM6.
And I'd bet that this works cross-platform. Anybody with a Mogul, or any other WM5/6 willing to try? I'd bet It's his way to keep a familiar file explorer no matter the device.

Awesome I figured it out. I read up in another forum and it said that Cricket uses the file that the phone was flashed from(in my case sprint). So anyone out there wanting the flash with cricket when it asks to encode just click on the carrier that the phone was "flashed" from. Thanks Jenkins!

It works.

Here is a fixed version of "Optional_VerizonguyApps" oem.
This will give you helmi's file explorer.
Jut delete the old oem and add this one.

Or if you dont use "Optional_VerizonguyApps" here is a quick fix for "OEM_Helmi_Addition"

Oh and a tip for everyone. If you edit the last line in the rgu file in "OEM_Helmi_Addition" ""Name"="Apache"" To "Name"="Put what ever you want here"" your ppc will have a different name in activesync.

Talking

Roger on the upload.

Eye problem suck. I had a nail head snap off and shoot me in the eye a few years back. To this day my vision never fully healed. And wearing an eye patch and doctor visits for 3 months was no fun. But i have a really cool scar on my eyeball now. And you know what they all say.
Chicks dig scars.

(p.s don't tell my wife i said that)
