No, I looked into this a few years ago for another phone. I believe W-CDMA is the japanese standard and no they will not work

Re: HTC 7 Titan

I think the rumor is that Verizon will be getting a high end Nokia WP7 device, so I'd wait for that.

@Dr.8820 same here and I would even leave sprint especially since my Ev speeds are still shit in my hometown. I bet Tmo's throttled speeds are faster.

Any idea when this will happen?

Really I just want a good WP7 phone on Verizon. I dont really want to switch carriers but the wait for a good phone is killing me. I had the Touch Pro 2 and loved and then it broke and the replacement was an Imagio....which is horrible. I have been eligible and waiting for a good WP7 phone to upgrade to since May.....

@notanerd1411 probably around the holidays,Nokia world is in a couple of weeks and surely there will be some announcements and possible release dates then. but if I was u I'd suggest going for the trophy on eBay or something and then u can use that upgrade when the Nokia or better HTC comes out. there's sites like amazon that are practically giving away trophys but that requires giving up the upgrade.

Titan looks really good. I am surprised how big these screens are getting but I guess that what everyone wants now. Thanks for posting.

Re: HTC 7 Titan

Such a shame that it's going to AT&T when it comes to the US. I'd really love it on Sprint.

@GoodThings2Life it is unlikely that sprint will get the titan or anything like it especially considering this stunt they did here :

Sprint makes the Arrive a poster child for their Buyback program, favors iPhone 4S | wpcentral | Windows Phone News, Forums, and Reviews

with that said I am very disappointed in them and will likely drop my contract early once a titan-like phone hits t-mobile if they don't have the towers fixed in my city by then.

Re: HTC 7 Titan

I don't know why everyone is getting so worked up about that article.

First of all, of course the iPhone is getting attention. It's an obvious trend-setter and money-maker regardless of its technical impotence.

Second, the Arrive is "old news" first-gen hardware that hasn't sold very well at all. That's the fault of Sprint and Microsoft, certainly, but the same is true of all Windows Phones so far, so don't be so defensive about it.

Third, there probably is a next-gen Windows Phone coming, but there's no rumors, because it's probably not coming until winter/spring like the Arrive. At least, I hope so.

If we want to see this platform take off, WE need to be the ones to take charge and promote it. I've converted three people this week to Windows Phone... and the results are pretty consistent. They're enjoying it.
