Re: RealVGA 96dpi Manila/Touchflo 2D Roms

Interesting....I haven't had any issue with the up/down keys scrolling CHome? Like to get some more feedback on that.

Changing the backlight timeout to 30 sec. worked, then back to 10 sec. worked. Maybe a registry entry not getting set? I will check on that.

I will work on your suggestions.

Showcase is a task manager. Gives you tap X to close etc. If you hold the Start Menu soft key, it will pop up with what's running. Search on XDA, and you can find more info, as well as registry entries used to customize it.

Re: RealVGA 96dpi Manila/Touchflo 2D Roms

later today it started working. I noticed a few other things. The Comm Manager doesn't render real well when you change things to on or off. Also, the screensaver doesn't seem to want to come on when the unit is turned on and those timeouts are set.

Also, the scroll bug when dialing phone numbers is finally fixed in this release! This is great! It's also really nice to have the keypad that shows corresponding letters to numbers.

Re: RealVGA 96dpi Manila/Touchflo 2D Roms

I have updated the Rom....link added in post #4.

The up/down hardkeys issue is probably Call History jumping to the background. It was buggy in Palms official rom and still is.

I have edited to 4 rows on the start menu.

Timeouts properly set for Screen Dim at 30 sec. and Suspend at 60 sec.

I'm not sure if I made any progress on Windows Media Player, but give it a try.

Comm Manager has never rendered properly with RealVGA at 96dpi.

Re: RealVGA 96dpi Manila/Touchflo 2D Roms

imzkng, thanks for working on this. I noticed today that the camera button must be held down to get to the camera... is this by design? Yeah, the up/down button thing is coming and going so hopefully this updated ROM will be a little better.

OK, so I've been trying to use the CHome Configurator that you have in the ROM and it doesn't seem to be working. I suspect that it might be that CHome configurator has some MAJOR usability issues and it's not incredibly clear how to remove panels and pages AND get the application to update on the configurator... can you see if you can recreate my problem?... at least so I know I'm not taking crazy pills.

Re: RealVGA 96dpi Manila/Touchflo 2D Roms

I'm downloading the new ROM, but I've just noticed that the battery life on the ROM that I'm currently using is noticably shorter.

Re: RealVGA 96dpi Manila/Touchflo 2D Roms

- screensaver works great!
- four across icons look great!
- CHome Configurator now allows me to remove panels but not add them. When I try to add it doesn't error but also doesn't add them.
- Windows Media Player still has long delays buffering
- The scrolling problem seems to be tied to CHome Configurator... at least it didn't show up until I started to try to modify the panels.
- Wifi button doesn't seem to be working (the hard key on the side)

Suggestions:
- Any way you could put things like RealVGA, Task Manager, File Explorer, My Treo, Sprite Backup, etc in the Utilities folder?
- Is there a way to configure the power button on the top to turn the cell radio off if you press it but actually powers the unit down if you hold it? This phone is absolutely a pain on airplanes because HTC was stupid enough to let Palm convince them to not actually put a power button on the phone.

Re: RealVGA 96dpi Manila/Touchflo 2D Roms

My bad... this is CHome Editor... perhaps CHome Configurator would be more stable?
