IF you manage to get a EU-GSM rom to flash to your N. American phone, 1) the drivers wont work, and it wont boot to os... but the biggest one is 2) the radio will brick your device and then its garbage time for it.

I have the right phone for this, but will 6.5 slow down the device? Does it perform well compared to 6.1? Is it worth the hard reset?

LMAO, so much wrong information based on pure conjecture. I have a T-Mobile TP2 US. After flashing HardSPL I was able to flash the Europe WWE ROM with no problems. I used the S/N from a thread on another forum to download direct from HTC. It works great! Radio has improved my signal, I get better signal now than i did with the stock ROM.

The ONLY problem I have had so far is the inbox pops open whenever it checks for new mail. I use Gmail IMAP. Might try switching to Gmail push and see if it is still a problem.

The OS itself is much snappier than the stock 6.1 TMO ROM. Very smooth and clean. If you have a TP2 from T-Mobile in the US I highly suggest you flash this ROM until T-Mobile releases their version, IF you want the branding back.

EDIT: Switching to Push Gmail has removed the pop up inbox issue, FYI

you will have to install the keyboard and home key fix after loading this ROM. and if you like the My Account feature there is a cab on XDA that will install that for you.

zylograth, I was getting confused too as the Sprint TP2 US phone is an international GSM phone (strange I know). What carrier do you have? I know Verison released 6.5 to their US costumers, but Sprint doesn't have a release yet... I don't want to wait and I have Sprint!

Edit: Ok, I see you have T-Mobile... Still really confused as Sprint is normally CDMA, but Sprint also clearly says it's international GSM on it's website. Maybe it has 2 radios? I know as soon as I turned my phone on it said it went into "international mode" because it couldn't find service (my old phone was on so it didn't auto-activate at first).

OK, I answered my own question. I got things mixed up. zylograth, yours worked because T-Mobile is GSM. Sprint is definitely CDMA.

They did? I haven't heard or seen anything about this. I just looked and there's no link (that I can find) on VZW or HTC's site about an upgrade for VZW.

just flashed this rom you speak of and its great.... Definantly gonna be mine till tmobile releases one if they do.......
