Master List of compatible ROMs for T-Mo USA HD2
 

I've read several posts where the posters are not sure about which ROMs are compatible with T-Mobile USA's HD2 - the 1024LEO. I will attempt to maintain a list here of all compatible ROMs so they're easy to find and this might prevent some HD2s getting bricked.

The only way a ROM can get on this list if someone testifies unequivocally that they have flashed it and it works fine. I will not add anything to this list if someone is speculating that "it will work" but has not in fact actually tested it.

Please help me keep track of new ROMs as they come up by replying to this thread and I'll update the 1st post as quickly as possible.

I've been running Dutty's newest ROM for most of the day and it is T-Mo US compatible...fanstastic ROM, fast, clean, just plain works...

Has anyone confirmed being able to view all the memory card files is still working after flashing to these roms such as Transformers?

Flashing a ROM should NOT affect your storage card at all.

100% true.

I haven't personally been able to flash yet due to lack of time but I've seen other replies on this board (HD2 sub-forum) that people have flashed and it hasn't affected the storage card. There is no reason that it should but in case you're worried, just hook it up to your computer first and back it up just in case.

XDA has new subforum for T-MO HD2 rom development with a compatibility list as well. Looks like about 11 different roms. Not all have been tested though http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653114

Just flashed this from xda and everything seems to be working very nicely. Rom is very smooth and quite fast. Once fully booted the rom is sitting at 303.44mb free ram.

I flashed Duttys_Leo_Sense_2.5_5.2.23554.5.5.0_1.72_Multi-Lang_6.5.5_Radio_2.07.51.22.2_V1.2_WWE into tmobile htc hd2 cause i was F@$kin goin Rom happy and didnt double check its compatibility and my screen went blank black, cant power on, cant go into bootloader, and cant hard reset but when i plug it in to my computer it recognizes it as a device without a driver i saw it in the device manager on windows 7 ulitmate. check out this site. It is really hard to brick a deice as long as you flashed the HSPL correctly.

I used HSPL2_1024_RUN.exe i flashed like 5 roms within 24hrs i was trying them out and this one made killed my hd2. :dontknow::scratch:

Try flashing the Stock ROM from your SD Card. It should fix your problem and get you back to stock where you can then flash what ever ROM you want as long as it is TMOUS compatible

If you can't even get in to the bootloader, i'm not sure what will work.. Are you sure you're using the right process to get in to the bootloader?

Please please carefully review a ROM's compatibility with your HD2 before flashing :(

7thson, did you have a chance to try Miri's rom that I linked to the other day? I have been running it for a few days now and must say that I am thoroughly impressed. The 6.5.x rom's have come a long way since the times I tried them on my TP2. Definitely suggest this rom to anyone who wants to use 6.5.x reliablely. It is fast, stable, and smooth.

You are correct. If the phone cannot be put into bootloader, you cannot flash. In order to flash from the sd card, the phone has to be in bootloader or it will not recognize the .nbh file. It would be easiest to flash from pc as you can run the .exe that pushes the phone into bootloader, if it won't go in that way, you are SOL.

There is an official sub forum for the Tmobile US HD2 now on XDA. Latest Energy ROM is located there also. You may want to change the link in the first post from the GSM Leo section to the TMOBUS Leo Upgrade forum. Thanks again for what youre doing!

Just haven't had time to flash unfortunately :(

As far as stock ROMs go, I have to say the HD2 stock ROM is head and shoulders above ANY stock rom I have ever used on any device. It's working for me so far, but I will invest the time soon to flash I promise! Thanks again for the recommendation, glad it's working out so weel for you. I still really hate the fat 6.5.x buttons though heh.

Elegancia rom at xda has an update as of 4/7/10. Been running it since that date and haven't had any problems. Miri added a few apps that are convenient to have and don't have to install after every flash...i.e. arkswitch (task killer) and a reset button. Some other minor tweaks and updates that add to the reliability as well.

This one can be added to the list. I am using the classic version and it is smooth and fast. The rom is only using 38.22mb of program storage and has about 287mb of ram available on clean boot. It has all the tabs available in Sense and stripped down to the basics so it can be customized to your liking. Only thing I am seeing that I personally don't care for is the start button has been removed from the softkey bar but I believe that can be changed back for those like me who prefer it, a quick reg edit will fix it.

There is a new radio in this ROM as well 2.10 so make sure you understand that before you flash. I'm not having any problems so far, as usual, it's a typical great Dutty release.

Add it to the list! This is by far the most visual appealing rom I have seen straight off a flash. Icons are fully skinned, all boot, splash and shutdown animations are customized. The custom backgrounds are just spectacular. The rom is very smooth and fast just like most other custom roms. Preloaded with apps that most of us install to begin with (phm reg, total commander, google maps just to name a few). Recommend everyone gives this one a try.

Although both of my ROMS are TMOUS compatible I have a special version cooked just for TMOUS with all the original settings security certificates, other settings etc

Went through your thread. Will have to wait for a positive confirmation that the ROM has been successfully flashed and working before I can update. I'll keep watching it, thanks for posting.
