Ok up to you but it's the same ROM posted here.

Major THANKS The7thson, The HD2 was my first GSM device as I have been with Sprint for the last 10 years of my life. This thread has been very useful.

Just my 2cents, and nothing else, but I found the 1st two ROMs posted to be the best ones for me.

I am interested in a one or two of the other ones posted thus far, and hope they will continue their development. However for now I found these 2 to be the best in my opinion. I like speed, stability, and eye candy of course. And I believe these two great chefs offer all that in a great package.

There is a new radio in this ROM as well 2.10 so make sure you understand that before you flash. I'm not having any problems so far, as usual, it's a typical great Dutty release.

Dutty's updated the same ROM again...ANOTHER new Radio in this ROM...

You are correct. If the phone cannot be put into bootloader, you cannot flash. In order to flash from the sd card, the phone has to be in bootloader or it will not recognize the .nbh file. It would be easiest to flash from pc as you can run the .exe that pushes the phone into bootloader, if it won't go in that way, you are SOL.

I just happened upon this thread in my travels. I have a lot of experience flashing, starting back with the G1 in June 2009. Did a lot on the Touch Pro2.

With all that experience I have yet to flash my HD2 because there's too many issues out there.

As said in here, make sure to read EVERYTHING about flashing your HD2 and be mindful that a BIG problem has developed because people are flashing ROMS meant for the European HD2, not the TMOUS version.

In regards to flashing from an SD card, something I used to do a lot with the Touch Pro2, a few XDA experts say absolutely do NOT flash your HD2 from the SD card. It will most likely brick the phone.

I did not read why this is so, I simply saw the warning in my travels on XDA.

So be careful. If you are going to flash a ROM, do it through ActiveSync and the ROM update utility, obviously with your HD2 connected to the computer with a USB cable.

(For those who don't know what microSD flashing is, check my video on the process, on YouTube. Check member name heartinsanfrancisco and you will find it. Or search "Touch Pro2 microSD flashing." SD flashing is basically putting the new ROM on your microSD chip and installing it from the phone WITHOUT being connected to your computer.)

It's safe to flash. There were some troubles early on, but 99.9% of them involved poor reading comprehension from the flashers :) 1 reason to maintain this thread is to provide links to 100% safe ROMS. All that's left to do is to read and follow instructions on the ROM threads.

The reason it's not recommended to flash ROMs from SD card for the HD2 is probably because the standard 16gig card is only class 2, which is much slower than the higher class cards. Flashing from ActiveSync goes pretty smoothly though.

I have a quick question. I have a T Mobile HtC HD2 that is unlocked and I'm using it with At&t. If I flash a rom to this phone, will it affect my unlock or am I good to go ahead and start flashing tonight?

Thanks

You mean your phone is SIM unlocked right?

I didn't see you mention that you have the HSPL, that's what you need before you start flashing ROMs. Please read the tutorial linked in the first post VERY CAREFULLY before you start flashing. If you have in fact already run the hspl, then flashing a ROM will not affect your SIM unlock in any way. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your response. Yes I mean it is SIM Unlocked. I have no idea what you are referring to in reference to HSPL......I'm going to find out a little more about that and try to flash something tonight.

Thanks for your help.

Miri and Steve have updated Elegancia again. The best release of the rom so far in my opinion.

Found another ROM from Miri over at HTCPedia. Very similar to the Elegancia series but this one includes all customizations that Dinik has done. Very fast from what i've seen so far, still getting everything setup. The visuals are great as usual.

Miri & Dinik ROM - WM 6.5.X 23569 - V 17.0 [ONLINE]

Never tried Amelia ROM but it is based off of US T-Mobile 2.13 base, shouldn't be any problems.

This is from his ROM notes:

TMOUS ROM; requires a radio in the x.xx.50.xx_x range.
Based on Leo 2.13 (TMOUS) manila.

Re: Master List of compatible ROMs for T-Mo USA HD2

you should be fine. The rom is based on tmous as previously stated. Read through the thread at xda and im sure you will find someone with the us hd2 who has flashed it. All the roms in this thread have been flashed by users who took the jump to test for the better of the community. Go ahead and do it and post some feedback for us all. Search around at xda as well, I remember seeing something recently about a way to recover the device if bricked as long as it was unlocked by hspl.

Side note: update your device info so that if you ask questions in the future there isn't a question of if you are asking about the HD2 or posting in the wrong forum.

I'm downloading Amelia ROM now to flash, i'll let you know in a bit how it is...

EDIT: Nevermind...way too many bugs being reported, it looks cool but i like my phone to work, i'll wait till some bugs get fixed before i flash that ROM...

Re: Master List of compatible ROMs for T-Mo USA HD2

Just a heads up to those who don't regularly explore XDA. Miri and Steve have updated the Eleganica rom once again but now have developed 3 different styles. Cookie's HomeTab, GTX and the new MaxSense are all up and available. Maxsense series is still beta but is stable and works very smoothly. Although more simplistic, it is less user friendly in my opinion.

but I thought that the speed of the cards didn't matter since the low end speeds are still faster than the phone can handle??? (Somebody tested and found that the speeds were way slower on a phone, even class 6, than on a sd card reader).

I'm gonna try this one first, pretty much the only 6.5.x that I found that says tmous compatible and sense free (sorry rstoysguy, I want my 6.5.x).
I'm hoping this will hold me over till I get a kitchen built. I'll post a review once I flash it this weekend.

I have a T-Mobile Stock HD2 that I'm ready to flash. It use to be so easy with the CDMA phones. Now theres all kinds of options. Can someone give me a quick authoritative answer to which HSPL I need. My current SPL is 2.10.000 and I want to flash one of the energy ROMS. I've always had a good experience with his.
I've flash numerous phones so I'm relatively adept, but cant figure out which one to use for the HD2.
