The Nexus S 4G has better hardware hands down...

umm..what do you need? That said, wait till voodoo fix for the audio...the nexus s 4g has one of the best audio chipsets available..it just needs proper drivers..hence the voodoo fix...

the .3" that makes the screen look better
Nothing can make that screen look better...its not even 24bit color...I mean they could have at least used super lcd on the Evo...you cant compare the Evo screen to the Super AMOLED screens...

and most importantly the kickstand (oh how I need the kickstand at work).
you can get a kickstand in a case/back cover..kickstand in a phone itself is pointless and takes up space...thats why they took it out of the Evo 3d..thats what cases are for...

Re: Sprint Nexus S

Let me begin by saying that my review of the Nexus and EVO is not meant to be used as an official review of both devices. I'm just stating why I prefer the EVO over the Nexus S. Nexus S is a very sexy device but it just doesn't have the stuff on the EVO that works for me. Now my official response to gTen (with the utmost respect).

I was talking about the location of the hardware. I hate how the headset port is on the bottom.

On the EVO when I'm using the music player it shows up on the locked screen when I hit the power button. I use this function a lot when I have the phone paired up to my car's radio via bluetooth.

I use the HDMI port daily so this is a must for me.

I never talked about the resolution of the screen just the fact that the .3'' makes it easier for my fat fingers (or maybe it's just the EVOs keyboard layout that makes me enjoy it more)

I never use a case for my phones because when I need to connect it in my car or dock it the case makes it unusable.

Re: Sprint Nexus S

I've been waiting for a version of the Galaxy S without the keyboard for Sprint. Time for me to pull the trigger.

Thats understandable..I just wanted to clear up some stuff..

I see, you just said "hardware is better" so it was a little vague...usually that means specwise..but understandable..

Hmm..its probably due to it being asop..you can load up a custom ui with that feature or download an app..

Yeah I also hate how they choose to lock out features..the Galaxy S has it working...(international version)..but the US variants and Nexus S seem to have it locked for some reason :/

The resolution is the same on both phones..thing about the EVO is for some reason HTC chose to go with low quality lcds :/...but yes, some appreciate the real estate..

well remember its connected to the back cover..so if an alternative cover becomes available its possible...

personally I would love if they had choices of back covers to do things like this so that you can say have an attachable keyboard whenever or a gamepad or a kickstand ...all on same phone..but I guess we can only dream :/

I never said I didn't like the Nexus S. I just stated that the EVO was more to my liking. I'm still going mess around with the Nexus as a WiFi device.

Wirelessly posted (Htc Arrive: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.4; en-us; Nexus S 4G Build/GRJ22) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

The sns 4g is for sure an enjoyable experience. Navigating speed I don't see any major differences. I love the rounded 4" contoured high resolution touch screen. I can live without htc sense easily, I miss the large sense calendar, 8mp cams. But the total build quality of the nexus s is superior hands down. No tender charge port, power button and battery door. Made in Korea btw not north Korea lol.

Re: Sprint Nexus S

Do you have to pay the extra Sprint 4G fee with this phone? I think I'll wait... does not look like many are buying this one.
