We covered the unbranded Mozart Mango ROM the other day and now like dominoes, the rest are here too--well most of them. Yes folks, leaked "final" builds of Mango updates for numerous HTC devices are now available for your unauthorized usage, meaning you are taking matters into your own hands.

What these ROMs (7720.68) offer over the RTM build is of course updated radios, some HTC customizations, presumably specific APIs for things like the compass and other unique tweaks to improve the Mango experience. So here's what's available:

Most of those are Europe-only ROMs, so take heed but look at that last one--yup, for once Verizon HTC Trophy (review) users get something early! Head on over to XDA for all the goodness.

well the one for the arrive isn't in that list. I'm guessing USCC will be last since they're the last post paid carriers to get a wp7

Tempting if it has the final tweaks. I just noticed this yesterday and just have not had a chance to even really research it. Unless someone else installed it, I'm not going to brick my phone.

Also it depends on the sideloading, I'm unlocked and it breaks my unlimited sideloading, I'll stick with the current RTM till a workaround is done.

And, as I understand it...if the build is 7720.68, it's not the carrier release. 7720.68 is the Microsoft RTM, not the carrier/OEM release.

So some homework needs to be done. after all the Verizon Roms listed bfore on XDA would of bricked your phone or put it in a perm demo mode.

Sure, I'll play, This is not an offical rom (well, not till its proven), so no one as of yet....

This is also verizon we are talking about who made it known that they were not interested in Windows Phone 7

Edit: Verizon user claimed it worked fine....

I did enough homework to possably install. Here's what I found out.

It does update firmware/Radio, so it might be worth installing for Verizon users if you have questionable coverage/really bad battery life. It could fix a lot of dumb hardware issues with the phone. A few verizon users have installed this and reported no problems, actually, better perfomance (questionable because the phone was nuked back to factory, AKA a clean phone, so till real tests, it's questionable)

It will NUKE your phone, there is NO upgrade path. It's not like 7712 or 7720, it's a fresh install. This kind of holds me back a little, Yea, I'm dev unlocked but with the CustClear.provxml method, I can get unlimited sideloading and un-cerfieied app install. This I will not be able to do with this version and it's something that I need (too many dev apps that I can't live with out).

For Sprint Arrive users, You have the "Gold_C" so you would be looking for a rom for that. The Gold_W is the GSM version of the 7Pro, if you install this, you will brick your phone, so you have been warned. There is No Sprint rom that has been released.

As for me, I am waiting (I need my unlimited sideloading).....My phone devloped a line down the center of the display and 2 bad pixels. I need to call up insurance again. Maybe I will try it for a day or 2 before sending it back.

Oooh, I wish the Gold_C Arrive ROM was part of the list. Oh well, RTM Mango has been perfect for me as-is... the only benefit for me would be HTC's official tweaks.

I'd like a leak for the Sprint HTC Arrive also. Still the burning question for me is whether or not the Hidden Wi-Fi REALLY is enabled with these "final" leaks:protest:. Off to research it out.......:mrgreen: I need my Ad-hoc connection!
