adobe confirms no flash initially with wm7
http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=13295
"Microsoft and Adobe are working closely together. While the newest version of Windows Phone won’t support Flash at initial availability, both companies are working to include a browser plug-in for the full Flash player in future versions of Windows Phone. More details will be shared at Microsoft MIX next month". This confuses me, i thought the os wasnt finished yet. Are they saying it will be implemented later in the development process or by future versions they mean its done and it will be included via ota updates a la webos or android? Edit:I wanted to put this in the news forum but i dont have sufficient privileges, my apologies.

Plus is there any better technology that's used on such a wide scale as flash? Like every website uses it to some extent.Sure we can have certain websites optimized for webkit browsers like the iphone, but i figured apple didnt want flash because of the abundance of free flash based internet games. Makes sense being that it would cut into the app store's profit. Last edited by smoove21; 02-14-2010 at 10:56 PM. |
