Clear 4G Samsung Mondi
I know this isnt a phone but it runs WM 6.1.
I will get my Clear 4G Mondi sometime in the morning. I am interested to see how well it will run Slingplayer mobile and Logmein via PIE. I currently use my HTC Diamond, but the screen is just to small to remote desktop to the dozen or so PCs I maintain. Plus my TIVO will be a little more watchable on a larger screen. I have had UMPCs like the Wibrain, Fujitsu U810 and Flipstarts in the past. But, none were really pocketable. I'll post pictures and more later during the day Tuesday 10-3. The Samsung Mondi includes the following features: Windows Mobile 6.1 Microsoft Outlook and Windows Mobile Office WiMAX Mobile Internet Access WiFi Access (BTv2.1+EDR) GPS: Route 66 Navigation with Preloaded Maps 4GB of Internal Memory Direct Push/Mobile Email (POP3, IMAP, SMTP) Supports Instant Messaging and MMS 3.0 Megapixel Camera and Camcorder Bluetooth ® 2.0 Opera 9.5 Web Browser HDMI TV Out Supports Multiple Video and Audio Player Formats Weight: 152 gm Size (WxHxD): 4.72" x 2.95" x.63"

Re: Clear 4G Samsung Mondi
I only got my Clear 4G home modem this morning. I am getting 6.2MB dowloads with burst up to 10MB and 430kbs uploads. The uploads are faster then my Roadrunner Turbo was and the downloads are a little slower than Roadrunner Turbo. And I am getting both the home modem and mobile Mondi unlimited for $55 a month. Which is less than what Road Runner Turbo cost.
The Mondi will be here Wednesday. To use the Clear 4G home modem with a Slingbox. You will need a level 2 tech to log into the modem and turn off the firewall and enable all the ports. Slingplayer worked great on my Diamond after this was done. I did find out that the Wimax modem IP is http://192.168.15.1/. Havent figured out the password yet. I know the modem does have a PRL loaded on it. Last edited by Cellfreak; 11-04-2009 at 12:32 AM. |
