Envy Issue

OK so I didn't know where to post this at and figured here was the best. My GF has an Envy and it stopped working, she got a new one but didn't back anything up. wondering if there was anyway to get the information (contacts, pics, text's) off of it. It does turn on but freezes on the Verizon boot up screen. Hope you pro's can help me out there.
