Using htc touch pro charger with Zune HD

Hi Guys,

Was wondering if anyone has been using there htc touch pro charger with a zune hd? I started using it and it works. I'm just wondering if there is anything negative of using it. Like does the touch pro charger produce to much power and could fry my zune hd or something.

Guess no one else has tried it. So far so good. But would feel better if someone knew if it will kill my battery or something over time.

Update- Ok just found out what input the zune hd can take and its 5V-1A just like the htc touch pro chargers output. Score don't have to buy a power adapter now.

Check to see what the voltage and AMP rating are for each charger. If they are the same then you should be good to go. If they are different, it could cause overheating during the charging process that could damage your battery over time. That being said, I use chargers with different ratings all the time and havent had a problem.

I do....it works fine for me. USB power is USB power no matter what it's connected to. Single port USB (which is what the HTC wall adapter it) only does 5 volts at 100mA. That's well withing spec for any USB chargable device. These are the benefits of standardization...

Done it and it works great. Charges way faster than when it's connected to the usb port and since the battery is small, it charges quick as hell.

I finally started to like the design of the tp's charger.

I knew I wasn't the only one doing it. Thanks guys for your feedback. For the people that do have Zune HD. Here hoping all those great apps come out next month. Games! But hey I am having alot of fun playing Texas Hold'em so that's holding me over.
