Motion JPEG for traffic cams?

Anyone here in the Baltimore area who uses traffic cams on their PDA? I was reading the RadarWeather thread and some guys from New York have traffic cams on their RadarWeather tabs. I want to do the same thing, but assume I need to use MJPEG pics for it to work? Am I assuming incorrectly?
