Why or why not?

Thanx

DNS lookups only take brief milliseconds to do, so you are not hogging bandwidth. once a site is found, you are done with the lookup portion.

the fact is, opendns is a company who's only purpose is DNS lookups:
http://www.opendns.com/

so I'd suggest just go read how they do it and see why this won't be an issue to worry about.

Awesome! I did and thanx- now I understand.

I cannot get the new faster DNS settings to save. I input them, click OK and then finish - sometimes I get the EVDO in use message and it it says they will take effect when next started, but not always. If I go back in the dot in in the use server assigned address. I tried making a whole new connection with the same settings as Sprint PCS Vision except the DNS lookup addresses, but upon (soft) reboot the Sprint PCS Vision connection re-appears and the dot is in auto pick so it probably picks Sprint PCS Vision over my new one.

How do you get the settings to save, or to really delete Sprint PCS Vision?

I have been using DNS: 208.67.222.222 & Alt DNS: 208.67.220.220 for a while, but recently noticed a slow down in speed. Anyone else experiencing this? Or do you have an Alt DNS for me to try out? Thanks!!

htc guardian the culprit?
im reading that everyones speeds are going back slow.. maybe getting rid of that startup, then doing the tweak should work perm

I have tried this tweak 6-7 times and it seems to work when I do it....but for me, a soft reset or turning the phone off will reset my changes back to default.....not sure how to make this a more perminate change.
