Re: 32 GB microSDHC cards?

SanDisk has been 1st to market with new larger capacity microSD and microSDHC since back before there even was an SDHC specification. I expect they'll be 1st with 32 GB. In fact, you can pre-order one from several online UK stores, where the standard pic shown is this:

But, SDHC cards are supposed to have a class designation of 2, 4, or 6 inside of a not quite complete circle that looks sort of like a "C" (for class). This pic has no such. Worse, it shows microSD with no indication of SDHC, which is a must for this amount of capacity. None the less, this is from a trustworthy vendor (according to many posts at NokiaUsers forum). The pre-order 'deal' requires you to put up £5.00 which is about $8.40 US. Think I'll wait! If you're in a hurry, here's a link:

Re: 32 GB microSDHC cards?

Got a 16g SDHC class 6 the other day from Amazon. 32 G seems to be far out, and since I was working with 2G, I really needed to do something. I had two choices- wait and suffer the high prices and "new product" problems, or get the 16G, use it until I just had to have the 32 G, then get the 32G after the prices have come down to something reasonable and they seem to have quality control down.
Got an off-brand- not something I usually do, but there were two Touch Pro 2 users who had good things to say about it. Took a couple tries to get the phone to recognize it (probably more due to newbie errors than anything) but now am cooking. It is big and it is fast!
If the come out with the grand spanking new "perfect" 32 G by tomorrow, I will probably wish I had not done it, but right now it seems like a good choice.

Whenever the true 32 giggers show up, they'll most likely come from China, but you're probably right about the ones currently on eBay being fake. A poster screen named climbhigh25 wrote the following at SanDisk's forum:

...I just purchased a Kingston 32gb microsdhc card off ebay...would not format past 16 gigs...

Re: 32 GB microSDHC cards?

Damn, I was hoping this thread would have an answer. I've been searching high and low for a legit card and it seems it isn't available yet . I'm in dire need of another 16gb of memory, as I don't think I could bring myself to deleting anything off my current card. I'm hoping for a Q1 '010 release maybe? Anyone know anything about possible release dates? Pic is screengrab of memory page on my TP2.

Re: 32 GB microSDHC cards?

Same problem here. Hoping SanDisk will give us some info, as they are supposed to be in attendance at CES tomorrow through the 10th.

Re: 32 GB microSDHC cards?

Even when they do come out, $150-$200 is way too much. Can get 2 16gb cards that are faster for less.

Re: 32 GB microSDHC cards?

I'll wait for wally world, best buy or radio shack to get them in stock. I dont care where it made as long as the receipt is made in my face in the usa...

But I want one right now, I have a 16gb about 4.5 gb available left. Movies, cab file, exe file, musics, pictures and documents.
