Re: To cancel broadband card or not to

Ditch the ice and the fans folks, a small piece of aluminum 2 x 3 x 1/4 will work.

Re: To cancel broadband card or not to

The main reason I keep my broadband card (built in to my Thinkpad actually) around rather than just using tethering is the lack of ability to tether and talk on the phone at the same time. Usually if I'm using my broadband card it's because I need to do some kinda remote network administration and which usually involved being on the phone w/ someone while doing it... if they ever figure out how to get tethered data and voice over CDMA I'll be really happy.

Tethered Voice and Data

They have pretty good solution for that.

My subscription costs me 3 bux a month.. Skype!! call us numbers unlimited for free.

The WinMo version of skype works pretty well on a good data connection, tho much better with a headset, as through the top speaker kinda sucks.

Skype is my main provider at home (no home phone), on my cable connection, using a DLink interface box, to ring and use 5.8ghz cordless phones.

some people don't like skype much, but works fabulous for me.
