Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
Good news, in Montreal we have quite a lot of clear case in Telus stores. I picked up one tonight for $15+taxes...
However, after I got home and tried it on with my TP2... I really regret spending that much on it... I will return it tomorrow and get one of the rubberized case from ebay, I think that might be a better choice for me. |

I have both. The clear case from Telus and the black rubberized from ebay. I prefer the clear case because it seems to be truly customized for the phone. The rubberized case, though it fits well, seems a little off (I don't know, but I feel it's not a good fit as the Telus clear case). I also don't like the edges of the black rubberized case as it is quite sharp and I fear that it might scratch the phone. And it's quite difficult to remove. Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty okay case, but after trying both, I actually prefer the Telus one. And according to the Telus agent who sold me the case, it has a 1 year warranty for any scratch on the case (unless it is an actual break). Why don't you like the clear case from Telus? The only thing that I don't like about it is that it is a little tricky to remove. It's quite a struggle specially if you're screen freezes and you badly want to do a soft reset. But other than that, I love this clear case |

Plus why Telus one has a hole on the top left corner? there' no camera underneath of that, (a light sensor maybe?)... The good thing is, it fits pretty well and the thickness is acceptable. To remove the case is pretty easy I found, there are two hooks on the right hand side edge (top/bottom). Start from the bottom part of the phone, insert your fingernail to unhook them one after another and the case is out. Flip the phone upside down, the right hand side edge is at left now, apply the same procedure, it out in a snap. But now you got me thinking... should I go get it or keep the clear case... http://cgi.ebay.com/for-Htc-Touch-Pr...d=p3286.c0.m14 |

Also, I'd imagine a small hole could be cut in the side to allow access to the 3.5mm jack if anyone so desired. |

Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
I'd like to chime in here and make sure those wanting to purchase a case similar to the Seido Innocase are aware that over time it can harm the surface of your device.
I had the Innocase for my Touch Pro and I didn't take it off and clean it as often as I thought I needed to, over time, around the screen were scuffs and marks from dirt and dust eating away at the finish. How often would you want to take it off and clean it? I'd say every other day or so, at least once a week. I had the case on for about 8 months and thats how it ended up. Other than that, the innocase was nice because it kept dents away when dropped. Overtime the rear half of the case became really easy to fall off though because the tabs were worn, due to me taking it off so often to clean it. Just FYI... |
