Re: After hearing numerous times..

I think part of the reason these phones are sent out so 'wet behind the ears' is because the engineers & programmers have to follow orders from above. If the boss says lock down tethering, they have to lock it down. Boss says disable the FM radio, they have to disable it. God I wish someone would crack that one already, I'd love to have an FM radio. Why the hell do the GSM people get it but we don't? There should be a class action lawsuit over this. Call me overly passionate, but it makes me mad.

The reason the Palm Pre and the iPhone have less problems out the box is because Palm and Apple both decide on the hardware of their phone to work specifically with the software they install on their phones. They have total control of Hardware, OS and applications.

Windows Mobile does not, their OS goes on multiple different phones with multiple different apps and hardware. Microsoft doesn't control or restrict what device their OS goes on.. that is why you see more "flaws" on these devices than you do on other devices...

Same thing relates to the PC vs Apple thing, where Apple has total control of how their computers are built to make sure their OS will be stable...

That's my opinion anyway
