T-Mobile G1 on Cricket... can it be done?

My girlfriend's sister has a G1, and she wants to switch to Cricket. I'm sure it can be unlocked, but what about after that? I could just program it for Cricket use, but has anyone done it before?

EDIT: The reason I asked is because the G1 is listed as "dual band" and gives specs for both GSM and CDMA bandwidths.

Oh, yeah, damn. I had forgotten about that. I remembered like five minutes after I posted that the G1 used a SIM card, so that meant it was GSM.
