HTC Touch - Bell - CDMA - Email / SMS Problems

So this is the second time in 2 weeks that I have had an issue. Running 6.1, Opera,Sirius WM5, google maps, nothing too chaotic. and have connected to my MSN account, Yahoo and Gmail.

For no apparent reason, as in no programs installed/deleted/ files moves etc, I have had the MESSAGING program do inactive. I try to access it through the home screen, start/programs, or the touch cube, also in the address book option to Text contact, but it just stops. I can click on the links, but nothing changes, no hourglass, no stalled screens, its just a dead link

Any ways to fix this other then complete re=install, which was the case for last time. Would prefer to not
