How do you brick your phone?

Am i the only devious person to think of this if so im sorry! I wont to brick my phone on purpose then bring it to get fixed knowing damn well they cant fix it and just get a new one with out using insurance? i had the pro since the first day it came out and mine is scratched all up!! i use to do it back in the day but dont have the tools to do it with the pro i just wont a new one that looks cosmetically better.......then ofcourse have a better chance on selling it when yes thats right the PRE COMES OUT!!!

Re: How do you brick your phone?

If you brick it screwing with the ROM, they can tell and it will not be covered under warranty...this is also the reason that the insurance went up from $50 to $100 on smartphones for the rest of us...

Re: How do you brick your phone?

Let me see if I get this. You want to brick your phone and get a new one under your insurance plan because it's all scratched up and doesn't look pretty any more? WTF???? You do the same thing with a car (i.e torch it or report it stolen to the insurance co and get the pay off) and we call it insurance fraud and you go to jail. I very much doubt that would happen with a PPC, but I like to think our members have a little more integrity than that.
