WinMo 6.5 SMS storage location

I flashed with a WinMo 6.5 ROM and it has a major bug where I get SMS TXT messages but I can't read them. I'm going to flash with a newer ROM but I was wondering how I can see these TXT messages before I flash it? Are they stored on the file system or in the registry somewhere?
