Access internet when connected to PC

Whenever I connect to the PC via ActiveSync, I cannot access the internet on my phone.

I use MyMobile to control the phone while connected to the PC (type emails, text messages, etc), but any email I sent while connected via ActiveSync can't get sent until I unplug the phone (due to lack of internet connectivity).

Why does the phone disable internet access while connected to the PC? Is there a reg hack for this?

i think it's supposed to connect via activesync using the pc's internet connection.
I don't use activesync very often because I find it seriously outdated. but I think theres some settings buried in there.

hopefully someone can help, just curious myself about this, as I'm not sure I've seen it discussed much.

edit: OH yea, almost forgot. you should check out Dashwire.com it will let you preform those functions from website, and the phone uses a data connection so plug it in..
