4gig SDCard into 2gig SDCard

Originally i had a 2 gig SDcard on my treo700w, i backup the SDCard into a file in my laptop, later on i bought a treo800w, and purchase a 4 gig SDCard for it, i decided to restore information from my all 2gig SDCard file to my new card, guess what? My 4 gig SDCard turned into a 2 gig after restoring, and i believe the process is irreversible, any ideas why that happend?, iam just wondering iam sure iam not doing it again..

what did you reformatt it too...fat, fat32,ntfs....after i formatted my 2gig to fat32 it only reg's as a 1gb....wonder if that's the same issue...

Thats the thing, i did not reformatted, only thing i did was restore xxxxx file to storage card and when i check for space saids i had only 2 gigs, lol, thats really weird, i guess when i backup the other card also save some kind of configuration idk though...

back up the files on the 4GB card and format it to fat32 and you should see 4GB.
