Re: HELP! Getting the Voyager to work on sprint
First if you have a diamond, why r u asking about a voyager?? is your diamond on sprint?
sure you can get a voyager on sprint... as long as your esn str8 and dont owe back money.. last yr the government put into effect that says carriers HAVE to allow you "unlock" your phone after your contracts up if you want to take your handset to another carrier.. and this is why all carriers now allow you to buy the manufacturers ex. HTC "unlocked" versions of certain handsets, at a steaper price to you of course... there are catches though.. nothing says carriers have to share secrets with one another.. so sure, you can have a voyager on sprint... but no standard verizion software will work ie vix pix get it now v cast.. but youll be able to call people and text at a the maxmimum.. and since the voyager isnt windows mobile, you cant change the user interface to look like a sprint phones.. so everything would stay verizion looking, youd have a ton of useless crap on it, so itd be pretty pointless... but yes its possible.. think about it, metro pcs can make any handset work with their network, you may have issues, but itll call people lol so its there, just junk.. sprint will tell you flat you if you want an Iphone on sprint theyll do it, they dont recommend it, and wont guarentee data(this is where companies not having to help each other with codes, keys and secrets limits things on our end) but theyll get it so sprints charging you and you can make calls.... almost anything and everything is possible, some things may not be legal, but everythings been done to phones that can be done to phones.. they just havent been put it all in effect yet.. theres a theory, i forget what its called, its the guys Last Name and " Curve".. so it called "The __________ Curve".. its all about cells and limitations.. My uncle, Andrew MacDonald, (you can try to look this up, i dont how easy it'd be to find though, with Blackberries Curve on the market) is Phd'd Electrical Engineer for General Motors.. He stuck in the Onstar division right now, and before GM he worked for HUGHES doing satellite UI's from Direct Tv, he was also involed in the guidance syatem for the Patroit and Skud missles way back yrs ago.. anyhow, for some reason GM sat all a bunch of big shot nerds down, my uncle included, and for weeks made them study this "Curve" theory.. well after the course was over, this past summer my uncle went to sprint and gave a presentation to all their big wigs on where how and what their limits would be.. were already on the threshold of it all.... until nano technology is used in cell phones, Tv programs, internet speeds, anything data related really will reach it max point quickly... sorry i got way off but im stoned, sorry......i can look into this with my uncle if anyone wants some more solid info on this theory... just pm me your email add and ill get it to ya in a few days |

Re: HELP! Getting the Voyager to work on sprint
Although I had some trouble deciphering crazychef's post, what I got out of it was that you probably could get your Voyager on Sprint, but you would lose a lot of functionality and get no support from Sprint. That would leave you high and dry if any issues were to pop up, which they likey would, as the phone was not designed for them.

Nope it is not possible unless you were to clone a ESN...Which we can not discuss in open forums on this site...
